Author's note

Pirkkala by OttoOjalaCom is a free bitmap pixel font with a rough, old-game snap and a slightly folkloric bite. The letters look cut from square blocks, with blunt corners, stepped curves, and compact shapes that give the font a hand-built rhythm instead of a clean grid feel.

It fits game menus, zine covers, poster titles, tiny packaging marks, and short web headers where that gritty pixel texture does the talking. As a free font, Pirkkala also suits badge-style logos and title cards, especially when you want something blocky and period-tinged rather than slick or futuristic.
