Author's note

Portishead Dummy, is a free ultra-condensed sans serif with a hard, poster-minded voice. The letters rise tall and tight, with plain squared ends and heavy vertical rhythm that gives the font a clipped, urgent feel rather than a neutral one.

It fits music flyers, magazine cover lines, film title cards, branding for bars or record shops, and big editorial headlines where space is short but attitude matters. As a free font, it works best in brief display settings, especially stacked words or narrow banner lines, because the compressed letters create a solid block of impact without needing extra ornament.
