Author's note
Prakrta, by Derek Gomez, is a free Devanagari-inspired display font with a strong headline bar and letters shaped into broad, calligraphic blocks. The rhythm comes from that continuous top stroke and the mix of squared forms with hooked, tapering curves, giving the font a distinctly Indic, inscriptional feel rather than a neutral display look.
It fits naturally in posters, cultural event graphics, book covers, music packaging, and title cards where a free font with this script-driven character can carry the whole mood. Use it for short headlines, logo-style words, or monograms, especially when you want the horizontal bar and compact silhouettes to lock the letters into one striking band.
