Author's note

RH Horne Orion is a free eroded wood-type display font with a blunt, weathered presence. The letters feel ink-bitten and slightly battered, with thick serif forms, dark weight, and rough edges that give it the look of a worn letterpress alphabet rather than a slick modern display.

It fits posters, book jackets, pub branding, title cards, and packaging that want a dusty 19th-century note without turning overly ornate. As a free font, it works best in short headlines, initials, and cover lines where those chipped outlines and sturdy serifs can carry the mood on their own.
