Author's note
Rugguggla by Tarm Saft is a free distorted display font with a warped blackletter mood. The letters feel chunky and unruly, mixing blunt vertical weight with pinched inner shapes and torn, claw-like corners that give the whole font a scraped, hand-cut presence.
It works well for poster headlines, underground music artwork, horror zines, game title cards, and beer or festival branding where a rough medieval echo feels more alive than formal. As a free font, it suits short cover lines, logos, and big wordmarks especially well, because the uneven silhouettes and heavy rhythm do most of the talking fast.
