Saraband Lettering by PJL is a free medieval gothic lettering font with a storybook blackletter mood. Its letters lean on heavy, textured strokes and curling, thorny flourishes, while the rounded lowercase forms keep it from feeling severe or ecclesiastical.
It suits fantasy book covers, folk music posters, tavern signage, event flyers, and chapter-opening initials where a little old-world theater helps set the scene.
