Scroonge, by Joan M. Mas, is a free eroded caps display font with a battered, ink-worn look. The letters feel blunt and heavy, but their edges break apart into drips, chips, and ragged gaps that give the alphabet a grubby poster mood with a slightly vintage horror streak.
It fits naturally in Halloween flyers, garage-band covers, zine headlines, rough title cards, and bar or club posters where a clean finish would feel too polite. As a free font, Scroonge works best in short bursts - big names, sharp cover lines, and compact logos where those splintered caps can do the talking.
