Author's note
Secret Code is Matthew Welch's free monoline sans serif font, and the letters lean into a stripped-back, almost coded modernist mood. Broad curves and very light strokes give it a quiet, schematic feel, while the rounded forms and clipped joins keep it from turning cold.
It works naturally for tech branding, interface title bars, poster headings, zine covers, and packaging where a free font with a faintly futuristic voice feels more interesting than a neutral sans. Because the design stays airy and spare, it also suits short pull quotes, title cards, and wordmarks that want a soft signal-like rhythm rather than blunt impact.
