Author's note

Shady Characters Medium by West Wind Fonts is a free Western 3D display font with the swagger of old poster lettering. The letters are tall, blocky, and heavily serifed, with striped side shading that gives them a carved, saloon-sign depth instead of a slick modern effect.

It fits best where you want a frontier voice up front: poster headlines, whiskey labels, rodeo flyers, festival graphics, title cards, and big chapter openers. As a free font, it works especially well for short words and cover lines, since the deep shadowing and broad tops make the caps feel bold, theatrical, and a little rough around the edges.
