Author's note

Shiva is a free blackletter display font shaped by tall vertical strokes, sharp cut-ins, and a compact woven rhythm that keeps the lettering dense without feeling static. The repeated diamond-like joins and hooked turns give it a distinctly medieval texture, so the design reads as calligraphic rather than merely decorative.

That structure makes Shiva a strong choice for metal posters, fantasy game titles, album covers, brewery labels, and event branding where a darker historical tone helps set the scene. Short headings and logos benefit most, especially when you want pointed forms and tight internal movement to carry the atmosphere on their own.
