Author's note

Sota is a free bitmap caps font with a blunt, early screen-era attitude. The letters are built from big square steps and hard right angles, giving the caps a game-console, low-resolution rhythm that feels sturdy rather than cute.

That makes it a natural fit for retro game titles, poster headlines, zine covers, tech event graphics, and short logo-style lockups where the blocky silhouette can do the work. As a free font, it also suits title cards, badges, and punchy monograms, especially when you want that unmistakable pixel-grid snap instead of smooth digital polish.
