SP Damascus, by Scholars Press, is a free ancient-script dingbats font with the rough, hand-cut feel of marks taken from old stone and manuscript traditions. The signs are angular but not rigid, with long descending strokes, open corners, and uneven contours that make the set feel archaeological rather than ornamental.

This free font fits book jackets, museum graphics, historical posters, exhibition panels, chapter openers, and title cards where a few glyphs can signal place, age, or scholarship without turning into decoration for its own sake.
