Sponged Font

Sponged, by Bob Conlon of Mortal Turtle Foundry/Einzig Design, is a free eroded display font with a wet, porous look that feels stamped, spattered, and partly dissolved. The letters carry heavy curves and soft, uneven edges, while clusters of holes and flecks make the whole font look like ink soaking through a sponge.

It fits posters, horror-comic titles, zine covers, band flyers, and Halloween packaging, where that blotched texture can do more work than ornament. As a free font, it also suits short headlines, title cards, and big initials that need a grimy, organic voice without slipping into straight grunge cliches.
