Type Brutus font by Woodcutter Manero is a free distressed display font with chunky slab-like forms and rough, chipped edges. The letters carry scattered ink specks and cut-up patches that give the whole face a worn, printed-by-hand texture without losing its strong blocky structure.
Type Brutus works well for poster titles, album art, event flyers, game graphics, and edgy merchandise because the broken edges read as part of the design rather than noise.
