Author's note

Ulfilas-Kursiv by Robert Pfeffer is a free calligraphic italic serif with dramatic thick-thin strokes and a distinctly pen-drawn silhouette. Long, tapering curves sweep well beyond the compact letter bodies.

It can give book covers and literary magazines the air of hand-lettered titles. The same formal flourish suits invitations and cultural event posters, especially when an elegant, historical note is wanted. Those recurring diagonal strokes and deep curves can become part of an ornamental border or illustrated monogram.
