URW Wood Typ D, designed by URW Software, is a free Western wood type caps display font with broad, emphatic forms. Heavy slab serifs and pinched joins give the letters the stamped force of old frontier posters.
For saloon-themed signage and event posters, the broad caps deliver an immediate period reference. The same carved shapes can enliven beverage packaging and Western game graphics. Leave some space between letters so the large serifs do not crowd each other.
