Author's note

Vengeance at Sea, by Chequered Ink, is a free eroded pirate display font with letters that look hacked from weather-beaten wood and salt-worn metal. Its jagged edges, torn notches, and uneven curves give the font a rough seafaring drama, while the old-style serif shapes keep the mood rooted in swashbuckling period lettering rather than horror.

It fits naturally on poster titles, book covers, game logos, themed packaging, and event graphics where a free font needs grit without losing a clear historical cue. The letters also work well for short headlines, chapter openers, and title cards, because those chipped contours bring motion and menace even in a few words.
