Author's note
Visitation by Eric Oehler is a free retro display font with a late-Victorian, poster-lettering mood. The letters mix tall, lightly built forms with sharp serif points and a few soft, calligraphic curls, so the font feels formal at first glance but never stiff.
It fits period branding, book jackets, event posters, title cards, and magazine cover lines where a little antique drama helps set the tone. As a free font, Visitation also works well for short pull quotes or monogram-style initials, because those tapered strokes and gently ornamental curves give even a few letters a distinct historical flavor.
