Author's note

Waverley Bold Italic by Keith Bates of K-Type is a free brush display font with broad, forward-driving strokes. Changing stroke widths and sharply cut curves suggest work made with a flexible, fast-moving brush. The forms feel lively and unruly.

Music posters and sports graphics gain speed from the restless slant. Food packaging and casual restaurant branding also suit its quick signwritten finish. In either setting, the lettering can become a painted badge or directional streak rather than neutral text.
