Author's note

Waverley by Keith Bates of K-Type is a free distorted sans serif display font with tall, wavering letters and uneven strokes. Soft curves, pinched joins, and shifting widths make these simple forms look hand-stretched and slightly restless.

The bending outlines echo fluid line drawings, which makes the font apt for illustrated posters and music packaging. It also suits quirky event graphics. In editorial design, its irregular silhouettes can turn cover lines into artwork rather than neutral captions.
