When It Rains by Brittney Murphy is a free eroded display font with broad, uneven letters and a heavily scraped surface. Ragged edges, blunt shapes, and dense patches of wear give the lettering the look of ink transferred from a battered screen or damaged stamp.
Underground music and horror themes make a convincing home for its raw texture, especially on gig posters and album artwork. It also suits skate merchandise. In publishing, the distressed forms can turn magazine section openers and alternative-culture cover lines into part of the page's gritty imagery.
