Author's note
Yabeno by Wep is a free distorted display font shaped by thick, blobby contours and hollowed-out gaps that make each letter look gnawed, swollen, and slightly unstable. That rough outer edge repeats across the design, giving the lettering a lumpy, hand-cut texture instead of a smooth decorative finish.
Poster headlines, music artwork, zine covers, horror titles, and event flyers all make sense here, especially when you want text to feel raw and bodily rather than neatly drawn. The pitted openings and uneven silhouette also give short packaging names or social graphics a strange organic push that cleaner display fonts would not deliver.
