Author's note

Yacako font by wepfont.com is a free distorted display typeface that looks like letters poured in thick, inky syrup and left to wobble into shape. Each character swells and slumps with soft, bulging edges, giving words a gooey, almost liquid presence on the page. The rhythm is loose and organic, so text feels wild and unpredictable, yet still readable enough to carry a strong, playful message.

Using Yacako, headlines feel loud, sticky, and a little unhinged—great for horror posters, Halloween party flyers, underground music covers, game titles, edgy stickers, and streetwear branding. This free font shines at large sizes where its blobby silhouettes can really ooze. Pair it with a clean, narrow sans serif for body text to keep the chaos contained and the concept clear.
