Author's note
Yelly is a free handwritten font with a loose, playful bounce and the feel of quick marker lettering. The letters lean on soft rounded strokes and tall, dangling forms, while the repeated long descenders in y and l give the wordshape a slightly wobbly, childlike rhythm that feels casual rather than polished.
That makes it a natural fit for greeting cards, scrapbook titles, cafe chalkboard-style branding, playful packaging, and short social media headers where a free font with this much bounce can carry the mood on its own. Use it when you want a few words to feel friendly and homemade, especially in brief titles or name treatments where those lanky verticals can do the work.
