Author's note

Dust West Italic, by Galdino Otten, is a free eroded Western display font with the swagger of old frontier posters and saloon signage. Its slanted letters carry chunky, wood-type shapes scarred by rough missing patches, so the alphabet feels dusty, worn, and a little rowdy rather than neat or nostalgic.

It fits naturally in poster work, whiskey or barbecue branding, album covers, event flyers, and title cards that want that beaten-up frontier mood without looking fake. As a free font, it also suits short headlines, cover lines, and monogram-style initials, where the italic lean and weathered texture do most of the talking.
