Before you download

WOFF is an older compressed browser container. Decoding removes that container but does not recreate information absent from the webfont.

This path helps when an archive contains WOFF but your inspection or editing tool expects TTF.

The TTF output no longer has WOFF compression, so compare characters rather than expecting a smaller file.

Review warnings and open the output in the target application before relying on it.

Is WOFF the same as TTF?

No. WOFF is a compressed web container that can carry SFNT-based font data. TTF is commonly used for desktop font files.

Does decoding improve the font?

Decoding changes the container, not the design or available characters. It cannot improve outlines or restore omitted glyphs.

Can I install the result?

Many systems can install valid TTF output, but technical compatibility does not grant a licence. Confirm your rights first.
