Nova Bomb Bold Oblique Font

Nova Bomb Bold Oblique from Tension Type is a free techno display font with a forceful forward slant. Broad strokes, clipped curves, and squared inner spaces give the letters a machined, compact build. The lean is unmistakably fast.

Its angled forms echo racing stripes and hard-edged vehicle graphics, making it a convincing match for motorsport posters and game artwork. Music merchandise and science-fiction packaging can also use its dense silhouette to suggest speed, machinery, and controlled impact. Across these settings, the shared mechanical geometry lets the lettering function as part of the equipment, interface, or bodywork rather than as a neutral caption.

This typeface is based on a sketch I made many years ago. It was initially intended to be a hand-drawn typeface. I started it but made little progress. In 2026, I decided to develop it further. It is not intended for body text.
