Nova Bomb Condensed Font

Nova Bomb Condensed from Tension Type is a free condensed techno display font with an exceptionally tall, compressed silhouette. Its straight strokes meet squared, softly rounded forms, and the tight construction gives the letters an engineered look that recalls control panels and futuristic signage.

It can turn a title card into part of a fictional interface, especially for science fiction games and electronic music releases. The narrow proportions also suit event posters and technology branding, where long names can take on the look of coded labels or machine markings. In game graphics, the lettering can echo the vertical slots, indicator bars, and rounded panels used throughout the surrounding interface artwork.

This type design is based on a sketch I made several years ago. It was initially intended to be a hand-drawn typeface, but I made little progress. In 2026, I decided to revisit it.
