Nova Bomb Semi Bold Font

Nova Bomb Semi Bold from Tension Type is a free techno display font built from stark geometric forms and industrial proportions. Broad rounded letters, squared inner spaces, and abrupt cut corners give the design a machine-made silhouette, with shifting stroke widths adding tension across the line.

Gaming and electronic-music audiences will recognize a blend of arcade hardware and futuristic branding, suited to game graphics, album covers, event posters, and tech packaging. The repeated rectangular openings and clipped edges can echo interface panels, controller buttons, modular product graphics, and signage.

This type design is based on a sketch I made several years ago. It was initially intended to be a hand-drawn typeface, but I did not make significant progress after starting it. In 2026, I decided to revisit it. It is not intended for body copy.
